Take some time out of your day to do ONE of these everyday for 11 days and your home will be ready for winter.

#1) Clean your gutters and downspouts.

#2) Change your furnace filter and have have serviced by a qualified HVAC contractor.

#3) Clean lent from dryer vents and exterior hood.

#4) Clean kitchen exhaust fan filters.

#5) Change batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors and test.

#6) Inspect the exterior: Look for damaged siding, gaps in mortar joints, weathered paint, and aging caulk joints. Replace or repair as needed.

#7) Inspect your roof for damaged or missing shingles.

#8) Have a qualified chimney swipe inspect the flue and clean as needed.

#9) Winterize your exterior house faucets and any outdoor plumbing.

#10) Winterize sprinkler system.

#11) Insure moisture drains properly away from the foundation.
